France is going through a paradoxical phase: a temporary situation of electricity overproduction is coexisting with profound changes in the energy sector. New models for valuing the electron are emerging, even as the State is partially withdrawing and the ecosystem is being reshaped.
In this uncertain context, renewable energy (RE) projects are becoming more complex, business models are evolving, and social tensions are intensifying.
At the same time, the rise of artificial intelligence and, in the longer term, quantum computing is opening up unprecedented prospects. While these technologies promise significant productivity gains, they also fundamentally question professions, skills, and organizations.
What will the job of a renewable energy engineer look like tomorrow?
How can we support the human transformations brought about by these changes?
At the same time, these technologies are extremely energy-intensive: electricity demand linked to data centers is constantly growing. This dynamic could, in the medium term, strongly revive the need for new production capacities.
How can we anticipate this evolution?
How can we intelligently plan the energy infrastructure of tomorrow?
Finally, the climate issue is central. The environmental footprint of AI calls for a rethinking of energy models: can we imagine short supply chains between energy production, data centers, and digital uses?
