The Forum EnerGaïa Innovation Awards recognize  innovative projects that address the major challenges of the energy transition and help build a more sustainable energy model. 

For the 2026 edition, 12 projects have been choosen by the selection committee and are competing in 4 categories: International, Deployability, Ecosystem, and Circularity. A Special Jury Prize, awarded by the Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region, will also honor one of the nominated projects.

Short description of the innovation

The Sunny Central Storage 4600 UP-S from SMA France is a high-power battery inverter designed for large-scale solar and wind projects worldwide. It incorporates advanced SiC MOSFET components and grid stability features, meeting the critical needs of power infrastructure operators through its reliability and performance. With a capacity of up to 4,600 kVA and a voltage of 1,500 V DC, it simplifies installation while extending equipment lifespan. Its intelligent OptiCool cooling system ensures optimal operation even under extreme conditions. Compatible with international standards, it optimizes the integration of renewable energy and supports the global energy transition by combining resilience and flexibility.

HelioRec unveils the W300A, a diamond-shaped floating solar system designed for coastal areas. Engineered to withstand 4-meter waves and winds of up to 200 km/h thanks to its patented hydraulic locking and shock-absorption mechanisms, it can be deployed along nearly 70% of the world’s coastlines. Made from 70% recycled plastic and offering a competitive cost comparable to rooftop solar, it combines strength, durability, and performance. Its modular design allows most components to be produced locally, reducing logistics costs and enabling rapid international rollout.
