Description

The GENHYO project has been selected as a winner of the “AMI-CMA” call for expressions of interest in skills and professions of the future, launched as part of the France 2030 national plan (official announcement on 22 July 2022). With €16.6 million in funding from the ANR over five years, out of a total budget of €28 million, GENHYO is establishing itself as a key driver for supporting the transition and strengthening the excellence of training programmes in Occitanie within a rapidly growing sector. Led by the Toulouse Community of Universities and Higher Education Institutions, the project is being co-developed in collaboration with the Occitanie academic region and all stakeholders in the regional sector, with the support of the Occitanie Region. The GENHYO project – Génération Hydrogène Occitanie – has the following mission: - Foster the emergence of talent and accelerate the adaptation of training programmes (from vocational certificate to PhD level) to the skills needs of the low-carbon hydrogen sector - Structure the hydrogen sector in Occitanie to meet the short-, medium- and long-term training needs for hydrogen-related professions across the region The GENHYO project is structured around four objectives, each representing a key area of work: - Train or raise awareness among different audiences: middle school pupils, high school students, university students, job seekers, employees, elected representatives and the general public. - Train 1,500 trainers over five years. - Promote careers in the low-carbon hydrogen sector. - Develop forward-looking analyses to adapt training programmes to evolving needs.
